Chief Accountant

Detailed Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Record Keeping: · Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using our accounting software (1C). · Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, inventory receipts, retail sales (cash, card and terminal payments), and payments. · Process primary documents independently at the start; once an Accountant joins the team, supervise them: assign tasks, review their work and ensure timely processing of primary documents. · Organize inventory accounting for goods in stores and warehouse, including stock counts, write-offs and cost of goods sold. 2. Bank Payments & Bank Reconciliation. 3. Tax Compliance: · Ensure compliance with the tax legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. · Oversee the preparation and filing of tax declarations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 4. Auditing: · Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits. · Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as required. 5. Regulatory Compliance: · Stay updated on changes in accounting and financial regulations in Uzbekistan, ensuring the organization's adherence to new guidelines. Qualifications and Requirements: · At least 5 years of experience in accounting in Uzbekistan, preferably in B2B and B2C · A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · Knowledge of Uzbek accounting standards and tax legislation. · Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in financial reporting · Fluent Russian language (both oral and written) is a must. · Strong English language knowledge is a must. · Professional accounting qualifications is not a prerequisite but will be considered as an advantage. · Exposure in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will be considered as an advantage · An open mind eager to learn and develop · Strong team player · Strong analytical skills.
